PERSONAL QUESTIONS !   Where did you grow up and how was your childhood? I was born, grew up and still live in Hamburg. I didn´t have a very happy childhood, so I always say I only started to live when I moved out to my own flat with about 20 years.   How was your school time you were rather the good student or the break clown ? The first years were terrible because of all the trouble I had at home. Later I became a very good student, I guess because I was able to channel all the negativity at home to make something good with it at school. Though it was ruined again when I went to the high school and started to discover sex and drugs and Rock´n´Roll. Ha Ha. Anyhow I made it through high school and always loved to be a student and learn something new.   How did your parents react when you started making metal music? did they support you and how do you feel about your music today? My parents had so many issues between them, that they barley were able to bring up me and my sister, so they didn´t took my music ambitions serious at first or ddidn´t care at all. I never had any music lessons and teached everything myself. My father died very early, but my mother later was very proud that I at least became a little Rockstar. She even was at many shows when she was already very old. I am still very hungry when it comes to music and I guess it even saved me several times not to kill myself when I had very bad times in my live.   Are you someone who loves the hustle and bustle of the big city? or rather looking for peace and relaxation in nature? I would be glad to have both to be honest. I live in the main city of Hamburg, and it´s of course great I don´t need much time to get to work, shows or to clubs. On the other hand it would be cool if it would be a little bit more calm, less cars and people and more trees, sea and nature.   Do you actively practice sports or are you more of a passive spectator? I don´t have a driving license so I often take my bicycle to get somewhere, sometimes I go swimming and I hope to start fitness workouts again soon. But I am for sure no sports maniac. I am happy when I do fitness one or two times a week.   When it comes to your physical well you can cook or let you cook for you I am a good cook, but doesn´t do it too much at the moment because I am single right now it doesn´t makes so much fun to cook alone.   What does your environment tell you about your passion for metal (friends / family / colleagues) ? I guess most people like it, but to be honest I don´t care to much what people think about me. I am always true to myself and never bothered what other people are thinking about me, my look or what I do. I am always honest and if they have a problem with me, they can always talk with me.   How do you see the problem with the haters on the internet who have to announce their mental garbage in anonymity always and everywhere? See the question before: I don´t care to much about opinions of other people. I these keyboard warriors would have balls, they would tell me face to face what kind of problem they have with me. I guess society in general lost a lot of respect for each other. Sad!   What do you think about the internet in general? a blessing or a curse? To me it´s a tool you can use to do good or bad things. Of course there are a lot of human beings who only live online these days and lot reality on their way. On the other hand it´s good to stay in contact with friends how are far away, find new friends or promote your band very easy, e.g. I use Facebook to promote Paragon, but I am not the guy who photographs his food all day or posts personal things a lot.   What would you personally like to do in your life? Keep on playing music with freinds, maybe have kids and be happy!     Hamburg My Hometwon. I love it and I guess there must be a REAL good reason before I would move away.   Austria A very beautiful country with nice people and sexy women.   James Ellroy One of my fave crime authors. Not many writers who can mix fact and fiction so masterful.   Soccer Don´t care too much about it. I mostly watch games by “Die Manschafft”.   St Pauli The area I live in Hamburg. Holger Stanislawski An old St. Pauli player who runs a food store these days.   Hans Albers The Hamburg Rock Star of his days and a real Hamburg original.   Hamburg fish market A tourist attraction. I would never would go there voluntarily, but was often there. The legendary Headbangers Ballroom was very near the fishmarket. So when we came out in the morning after a long party night drunk as fuck, we always had to go over it!   Reeperbahn I spent a lot of hours there to party and still do from time to time.   From Dusk Till Dawn A good movie by Robert Rodriguez, though I prefer “Planet Terror”.   Quentin Tarantino I like some of his movies very much, but there are a lot of better directors like Sergio Leone, Martin Scorsese, Brian De Palma, David Lynch, John Carpenter, David Cronenberg, Robert Rodriguez, Denise Villeneuve, Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Copolla and Nikolas Winding Refn. Beer I still drink beer, but I am more into rum, gin, vodka or wine these days.   Dexter One of my favourite TV Shows.   CD or Vinyl Sound CD, experience LP!   Movie or Serie I don´t like most blockbusters these days, even though there are very good underground movies. But I would say that there are more good TV Shows than movies these days. Family Not much left of my family, so my band is my family!   Your top 10 all time album faves Judas Priest – Defenders Of The Faith Iron Maiden – Killers W.A.S.P. – The Crimson Idol Danzig – Lucifuge Deadboys – Young Loud and Snotty Black Sabbath – Mob Rules Halford – Resurrection Neurosis – Souls At Zero John Carpenter / Ennio Morricone – The Thing Scorpions – Tokyo Tapes   The closing word is yours? Thank you for interviewing us and check out the new Paragon album which will come out at the end of April 2019! Heavy Metal is the law!
